What NextStep does

NextStep helps users understand confusing bills, letters, notices, and forms. Users can upload a document image, receive an AI-generated explanation, review extracted details, create reminders, and delete saved documents.

Information we collect

Account information, such as email address and authentication identifiers.
Uploaded documents that users choose to scan or upload.
Extracted document data, including title, sender, amount, deadline, reference number, action, and summary.
Reminder data, such as title, scheduled time, notification identifier, and status.
Feedback data about whether a result was helpful.
Basic technical data needed to operate, secure, and improve the app.

How we use information

To provide document storage, explanations, extracted fields, reminders, and account features.
To improve reliability, safety, accuracy, and usability.
To investigate bugs, abuse, security issues, and support requests.

AI processing

Documents may be processed by an AI provider to generate explanations and extract fields. AI output may be incomplete or wrong. Users should verify important legal, medical, financial, tax, insurance, or safety decisions with the sender or a qualified professional.

Data sharing

We do not sell user personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to operate the app, such as authentication, storage, database, hosting, analytics, and AI processing providers.

User controls

Users can delete individual documents from the document result screen. Users can request full account deletion from Settings. Account deletion is intended to remove the user's account, uploaded files, extracted results, reminders, feedback, and login data.
